Birth Trauma & Loss

Trauma-informed care for pregnancy loss, stillbirth, and birth trauma.

Experiencing birth trauma or pregnancy loss can feel isolating, overwhelming, and deeply painful. If your birth didn’t go as planned, or if you're grieving the loss of a pregnancy, you might be carrying emotions that feel too heavy to hold alone. I want you to know that your pain is valid, and you don’t have to navigate this journey by yourself. In therapy, you’ll find a safe, compassionate space to process what happened, honor your experience, and begin to heal in your own time.

Grief and trauma look different for everyone. Maybe you’re struggling with flashbacks, guilt, or a sense of detachment. Maybe you feel numb one moment and completely overwhelmed the next. No matter where you are in your healing process, I am here to support you with warmth and understanding.

Trauma-informed birth trauma therapy

I use trauma-informed approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), to help process and integrate distressing memories in a way that feels safe and empowering. EMDR is particularly effective for birth trauma, as it helps the brain reprocess painful experiences without becoming overwhelmed. I also incorporate cognitive and mindfulness-based strategies to support emotional regulation and grief processing.

Pregnancy loss and birth trauma can have lasting emotional effects, but healing is possible. Therapy provides a structured yet compassionate space to navigate feelings of sadness, fear, anger, or guilt while developing coping tools that support your well-being.

If you’re ready to take the next step, I offer a free 15-minute consultation to see how I can support you through this process.
